During the French Revolution, Brissot was the leader of the Girondist party movement. In an effort to stem the bloodshed of the Revolution, Brissot advocated the reinstatement of a constitutional monarchy. On June 2, 1793 Brissot was arrested and charged with being a "counter revolutionist". On October 30, 1793 he was guillotined by the revolutionaries. CONDITION This
